The MasterChef Connection!!

An evening with Gary Mehigan… ex judge of MasterChef Australia. This was an opportunity not to be missed and I am so grateful to my daughter Aradhana for thinking of me when she heard about it. I was literally fangirling as soon as she told me about it even though she had got the numbers slightly wrong… she said it was a dinner for 25 people when actually there were more like 150 people!!! However Gary very graciously went around to each table, answered questions and had photo upon photo taken all with a big smile on his face. There were also quite a number of questions and answers and I felt I was back in school when I put my hand up to ask something. However, my daughters were delighted that I never got a chance to speak as they were scared of what I might ask!!! This event was organised by a company called Conosh who specialise in these kind of events. To be honest the food was nothing great… I was horrified when I saw the pass around starters… there was literally a papri chaat, a kind of vada pao and an alu tikki. They were all kind of disguised with fancy names but basically that’s what they were!!! More about the rest of the meal tomorrow… I now need my beauty sleep!!!
