Film Review- Chandu Champion

This film is based on the true story of Murlikant Petkar who was the first Indian sportsperson to win a gold medal at the Paralympic Games in Heidelberg Germany. Petkar faces adversities right from when he was a young boy from his father, his teacher, his classmates and in fact pretty much everyone he encounters. It shows how he overcomes these and a whole lot of other curveballs that are thrown at him with his unflinching attitude and desire to win a gold medal and become a ‘champion’. Kartik Aaryan excels in his role of Petkar and really brings the character to life. One goes through a gamut of emotions watching the film as you experience the highs and lows of his life and I know that my eyes moistened up at the end. Kabir Khan does a brilliant job directing this epic and I especially loved the music in the last scene where he is swimming and getting flashbacks of his life each time he comes up for breath. I really enjoyed this film and would definitely recommend it to you all… go and enjoy!!!
