Metro In Dino…. After watching Maalik on Sunday I needed to see something that would not put me off Bollywood forever and this film Metro In Dino did just that. I was so keen to see the film I thought I would do a first and go on my own … I really don’t see the harm in it. I am not one of those people who love to chat all the way through the film… a 10 min chat in the interval is more than enough!!! And please make sure you buy your own popcorn… I refuse to let anyone pinch out of mine. So… back to the film. A very enjoyable watch regarding four families living in metros… their ups and downs, their struggles be it monetary or just lack of communication … the idea that the grass is always greener on the other side. All things one can relate to. Some couples just get so used to living together they forget to talk never mind laugh together. The actors all play their parts brilliantly from Aditya Roy Kapur to Pankaj Tripathi to Neena Gupta to Soha Ali Khan and the rest. No huge names but all play integral parts in the film. There are scenes that make you laugh and some that bring a small tear to the eye. The music is nicely interwoven into the script and brought back very slight memories of watching musicals in the West End in London. One small criticism was that the film dragged on a bit and could have been at least half an hour shorter. I thoroughly enjoyed the film and it has given me the courage to go see another one over the weekend. Yes… I take my job of unpaid movie reviewer very seriously… people get offended if I don’t post and I hate upsetting anyone!!!!
