Drishyam – The Conclusion. To be quite honest I couldn’t remember the story of either Drishyam 1 or 2 but Vinay obviously has a much better memory than me so he summarised it whilst we were having a quick coffee in Starbucks before the film. I only recalled that I didn’t hate it but since I had very little recollection of them they really can’t have been that outstanding. Of course whilst I watched the film today the story did come back to me but it all felt much of the same. It was like “ been there… done that”. I can’t say that I was bored and looking at my watch all the time ( though I must admit that I dozed off for a few minutes in the middle!!). It was ok but it didn’t really need to have been made. Ajay Devgn still can’t act. He has that same permanent scowl on his face right through. Tabu and Rajat Kapoor were pretty much non existent throughout the film left with sad expressions from start to finish. They had plot twist after plot twist so you knew that something opposite was going to occur before it started. There were a few minutes of laughter which broke up all the frowning and anguished looks. Would I recommend it? Well I didn’t hate it and I wanted closure from the film so if you are free then you can go but otherwise you can wait till it comes on OTT. There is no great cinematography that benefits seeing it in the hall but if you’re like me and get FOMO if I haven’t seen a film then go… it’s ok!!!
